Lauren J. Morrison has devoted her entire career to protecting the rights of those that can’t protect themselves. This dedication to her clients has earned Lauren the praise and respect of her clients, opposing counsel and judges alike.
Lauren specializes in labor and employment law, and has litigated a wide variety of cases, including sexual harassment, race discrimination, whistleblowers, disability and pregnancy discrimination, wrongful termination and wage and hour cases for overtime and unpaid wages.
She has an active caseload, and has primary responsibility for handling cases from intake through resolution, including motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial.
Lauren is admitted to the California Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Lauren is also a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
Lauren earned her J.D. from Whittier Law School, where she was awarded certificates in trial and appellate litigation, children’s rights, and criminal law. She earned her B.A. from the University of California Santa Barbara in Law and Society, with an emphasis in criminal justice. Even before graduating from law school, Lauren was honing her trial skills by conducting preliminary hearings and arguing motions as a certified law clerk for the Santa Barbara and Orange County District Attorneys’ Offices. In addition, as President of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board, Lauren competed in several national competitions on both criminal and civil issues. Lauren placed first in California at the CACJ National trial advocacy competition, fifth nationally.
When not practicing law, you will likely find Lauren running or playing volleyball on the beach. Lauren joined Kesluk & Silverstein in 2009.
