Deputy Prepares a Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

A sheriff in Lincoln County, Missouri near St. Louis is accused of sexual harassment and is now the subject of a Missouri Highway Patrol investigation. A female deputy has accused Sheriff Mike Krigbaum of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior, all of which Krigbaum has denied. The woman intends to file a lawsuit against the police department.

The woman has accused Krigbaum of sexually harassing her and not allowing her to exit a room. Krigbaum maintains that no inappropriate contact or language was used.

“He is categorically denying any behavior which would approach or even smell like criminality,” said his attorney, Al Watkins. “He’s had 30-plus years of unblemished service in law enforcement and fully anticipates this is something he’ll have to address and deal with in court.”
