Recently, the Associated Press reported that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has sued a call center in Los Angeles over sexual harassment claims made by workers. According to the AP, allegations against the call center include instances where employees were allegedly shown pornographic images by supervisors and groped.

The AP reported that the EEOC is suing VXI Global Solutions for violating federal laws and making it difficult for employees to file complaints. Additionally, employees allegedly said that they were disciplined and fired for reporting the behavior.

The company reportedly employs more than 15,000 people in the U.S., Asia and Latin America. Both men and women reportedly suffered the harassment, as men were reportedly mocked when they were not deemed masculine enough.

“When the male employees objected to the sexual comments or to the sexual images being shown, they were subjected to further sexual harassment through sexual stereotyping for not being what a man should be by being called a ‘fag’ or ‘gay,'” the lawsuit says, according to the AP.
