Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Finally Settled for Former McDonald’s Worker

According to Pittsburgh Live, in 2008, Vonda Jackson filed a lawsuit against a McDonald’s location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, claiming that she had been sexually harassed. According to court documents that were filed on Monday, February 14th, 2011, the lawsuit has finally been settled.

According to the original lawsuit, Ms. Jackson claimed that the management at the Smithfield Street McDonald’s had ignored her claims against another co-worker who allegedly made unwanted sexual contact and additional inappropriate comments.

Vonda Jackson claims that the unwanted behavior escalated starting around 2003 and into 2006. In June of 2006, the coworker allegedly used a meat thermometer to stab her in the buttocks after she tried to ignore him.

One of Ms. Jackson’s attorneys, declined to comment on the matter; stating that the settlement is a confidential matter. Representatives for McDonald’s, including the attorney representing the company, have not made any additional comments regarding the settlement of the Vonda Jackson’s sexual harassment lawsuit.
