I Was Treated Unfairly At Work – Do I Have A California Employment Law Case?

You know, it’s hard to determine who has a case. We get literally one hundred calls a week. At Kesluk, Silverstein, Jacob & Morrison, P.C., we pride ourselves in letting the potential client tell their story. They’ve been wounded. They’ve been hurt. They’ve always been wronged, and in many cases, even though they’ve been wronged, there’s been some inequity. There’s been some injustice. It may not fit into a box to allow us to bring a valid legal claim. The job, for me, is to listen patiently and try to discern what the facts are that might help us make a viable legal claim. And then, oftentimes, I’m left with telling a client, a potential client, that while it is unfair and while it is inequitable, the person you need to call is your local congressman or legislator, because he’s the one who’s got to help us make better laws to protect employees in the workplace.
